The Gender field within the 360Alumni data schema can be setup using custom fields, and gender is automatically set to be custom field #1. We recognize that each organization may have different preferences in the options you provide for alumni users when selecting their gender on their profile. We do have our standard gender field on the user record import template, which will correspond to the special custom field 1 location.
Log in to your Admin account. (see video below)
Click the settings wheel at the top right.
In the dropdown, choose 'GENERAL SETTINGS'.
Choose the tab that says 'User Profile Fields'.
On the right, you will see the 'CUSTOM FIELDS' section.
Type Gender in the 'Label for Custom Fields'.
If you would like to add a short description of this field, you can do that in 'Custom Fields short description'.
Click the 'Add Custom Fields' button.
In the 'Name' field, type your first gender.
Underneath the Name field, choose 'Checkbox Options' from the dropdown.
Click 'Add Options'
Continue adding all the genders you would like to list.
Now click the 'Create' button.
Scroll back to the top of the page and hit 'Save'.
