As we strive to empower our clients to create community, we understand our role as software developers in ensuring that any users, regardless of their abilities, can actively engage.
360Alumni is committed to ensuring that our software is accessible to all. This has long been a priority for us. The platform is largely compliant with WCAG 2.0 Level AA guidelines. In late 2021 we began a complete redesign of the entire application which will allow us to achieve WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance.
The project, dubbed "Monarch" in recognition of the primordial soup that transforms a caterpillar into a magnificent butterfly, includes the implementation of a design system that is accessible at the atomic level. Every button, navigation element and color scheme will be user friendly to those with diverse abilities.
Accessibility is not an afterthought to be checked off with a bolt-on accessibility tool. While we challenge all SaaS service providers to respond to the need to provide accessible software, we anticipate that 360Alumni will soon be the only engagement solution that is fully compliant and built from the ground up with an accessible design system. We have a roadmap to achieve this important goal which is outlined in our Aspirational VPAT. To see a copy, drop us a line.
